About the Fancy Text Generator

The Fancy Text Generator rewrites your text using special Unicode characters, such as the mathematical bold, italic, script, and fraktur alphabets, circled letters, fullwidth letters, and small capitals. These are real characters rather than fonts, which is why the styled text can be pasted almost anywhere that supports Unicode, including social media profiles, chat apps, and documents, and keeps its look without any formatting. A few details are worth knowing. Most styles change letters, and some also change digits, while punctuation is left as typed. Upside down text reverses the order of the characters so it reads correctly when turned over. Some apps or older devices do not have glyphs for every character and may show empty boxes. Fancy text is also a poor choice for anything that must be found or read aloud: screen readers can read these characters letter by letter or skip them, and search, hashtags, and usernames usually do not match the plain-letter version. Use it for decoration, not for important information. The conversion runs in your browser and nothing you type is uploaded.

Is fancy text a font?▾

No. It is made of special Unicode characters that look like styled letters, so it works wherever Unicode text is supported without any font being installed.

Can I use it on Instagram, X, and Discord?▾

In most cases yes, because those apps accept Unicode text in bios, captions, and messages. A few places filter or restrict unusual characters, such as some username fields, so test the result before relying on it.

Is fancy text bad for accessibility and SEO?▾

It can be. Screen readers may read the characters one by one or skip them, and search engines and hashtag search generally treat styled letters as different from plain ones. Avoid it for important content, names, and keywords.
