What is the maximum number of URLs allowed in a single XML sitemap?▾

The standard sitemaps.org specification allows up to 50,000 URLs or 50MB (uncompressed) per sitemap file. If your website has more pages, split them into multiple sitemaps and reference them inside a sitemap index file.

Does the priority tag guarantee higher search rankings?▾

No. The <priority> tag (ranging from 0.0 to 1.0) is a relative priority indicator for search engines to know which pages on your own domain are most important; it does not boost rankings against external competitor websites.
